Maternal Wellness
Michelle Lacy
is a Licensed Professional Counselor
with experience treating adolescents and adults with substance abuse issues,
mood disorders, life transitions and grief. Michelle also has extensive training
and experience in treating perinatal mood disorders. Michelle is a founding
member and served as Vice President of the "Arizona Postpartum Wellness
Coalition" and area coordinator for "Postpartum Support
International." Michelle provides training and educational presentations
throughout the community, and is a facilitator for the two day professional
training "Perinatal Mood Disorders: Evaluation and
Treatment".
Maria Ward
is a nationally-certified, Licensed Professional Counselor with experience treating patients with addictions, mental illness and mood disorders. For the past 3 years, she has been working with pregnant and postpartum single mothers in a residential setting treating these clients who are at especially high-risk for perinatal mood disorders. Maria is knowledgeable working with individuals, couples and families. She has received advanced training in the treatment of perinatal mood disorders, and is a member of both the Arizona Postpartum Wellness Coalition and Postpartum Support International. Maria is also a volunteer at the Gilbert Police Department leading teen diversion groups.
